Color issues!!!!

Recommended Posts

ok I seem to be having a great deal figuring out which color scheme to use. While my wedding is still a long way away, my future sister-in-law is a graphic designer and has offered to do both my invitations and save the date cards. I want to get the cards out asap to give people plenty of time to plan. However, I cannot decide on a color scheme. We are in the process of reserving our date at Dreams Cancun and I have already bought a cake topper that I love! I don't want a 'goth' wedding, but i do appreciate the cultural uniqueness of mexico (me being from New Mexico, this culture has and extreme influence on my family). Below is a cake topper that is very similar to mine. Any imput on this would be so greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think your cake topper needs to match a particular color scheme.

When I think about Mexico, I think of bright, bold colors.

Your save the dates and invites also don't have to match everything else. You might just tie in the Mexican theme.

Are there any colors schemes that particularly appeal to you?

You may also want to look through weddings on here that took place in Mexico for inspiration; some of the most creative and stylish girls are on here with some amazing pics from their weddings.

I agree with Erin that your cake topper doesn't have to match the rest of your wedding perfectly. Also, I ordered my STD's long before I decided on my color scheme completely and just made sure that they tied in when I made my final choices.

I did a quick internet search and found the following.. hope it helps:
