Trash the dress location????

Hi ladies

 

anyone know of a good beach setting for trash the dress in the mayan riviera. i wanted to do it at the Mayan ruins but apparantly its not allowed.

Yup! I did mine at the public beach just down the road from the ruins in Tulum. It was AMAZING! LOVED it! And since we got there early in the morning there was nobody on the beach. it was perfect, when i photography a riviera maya wedding that's where i plan on suggesting my couple does their TTD.

Usually your photographer might know the location of some ruins you may be able to use, I know I have seen Del Sol Photography's TTD section and some of their pictures are on ruins. I know Tulum is out, but I am not sure about other ruins. One really cool place is the Dos Ojos cenote, its beautiful, jungle, cave, cenote, all the things famous in the Riviera Maya. Also, Akumal Beach is beautiful for a TTD (and is public), as is Playa Secreto, up closer to Playa del Carmen - rumor has it they have shot a number of Corona commercials there. Another non-beach location you may want to check is Yal-Ku lagoon, there are amazing sculpture gardens and flowers, its absolutely beautiful there.

We went to Isal Mujerus. (Sp?) It is an island just off of Cancun. Our photographer rented a golf cart and we took pics all over the island. We had tons of fun, and ended up with a lot of diffrent pics.

I am getting married in July and just this week we decided we might to a TTD. How much do you think it would cost for about 2 hours and any suggestions of a modestly priced photographer?

thanks so much for the info, i really LOVE dos ojos cenote, its absolutely gorgeous. does anyone know what time it opens? as for the prices, my photographer is charging us $350 for 2 to 3 hours if you get their full day package, if not it is $600

We are going to do our TTD on beach in Tulum and then go to Dos Ojos. Dos Ojos opens at 10am to 5pm and there is a $10 entrance fee.

We are thinking about Xcaret eco-park. I'm not sure what it would cost, but they have beach, lagoon, jungle and ruins.
