Mel, did you end up getting your makeup done? If so, how did it go? Can't wait to see your pics, bet you looked gorgeous :)

Hi Lindsey,

I did get my hair and makeup done. I knew I was going to be really picky about it, and I was totally pleased. I highly recommend doing the trail and BRING PICS of what you want. Cristi doesn't speak English, but she's really good and so is her assistant. Her assistant did my sister's hair. I was very happy with their work! No need to worry. :)

I have about 1000 pics on our photoshare site, but I'm not sure how to organize them yet.... I think our pro pics will take a while. If anyone wants to dig through our shutterly mess, the address is www.melissaandbryan.shutterfly.com and our pass word is MayDay.

Hi all! Thank you to those who replied about the flowers. I totally trust Lindsay in getting the best prices and best venders that she can get. I guess I was just being that competitive American who wants to make sure I get the best prices possible. I really wanted all orchids initially, but when I realized they would cost around $400-$450 for bouquets and centerpieces, I started looking at other options. I am going to go with a cascading bouquet of stargazer lilies for myself, hot pink roses for the bridesmaids, and mixed bouquets for the centerpieces. We are going to use green hydrangeas, pink roses, stargazer lilies, casablanca lilies, a few orchids, and bear grass in them. I don't have any pics of anything similar, but I trust that Lindsay will make it beautiful. This cut the prices in half, which is much more comfortable for me.

Does anyone have ideas for where to find table runners? I would really like a teal/aqua color. My mom and mother-in-law (to be) both sew, so maybe this is the best option.

Kristin, I think it would be the most economical and you will be sure to get what you want if you make your runners. I was going to say Lindsay will give you measurements but lets ask Melissa...

MEL: Could you post the measurements of the table runners your mom made? They looked absolutely fabulous! Maybe you could post the pic of your table on here to satisfy for now!

Ok ladies, here are my runners. My mom made them with Lindsay's spec's for 59 inch round tables. There are blue and green beads hanging at the end, but I don't know if you can see them. I loved the way my tables turned out. I'm also happy with my choice to get the wood chairs.

Thanks! The color burst did look really good, I'd have to say. :) It's so awesome to see all of your ideas and work (my ideas, my mom's work) come together so beautifully.

Mel, did you end up using the lanterns anywhere?
I actually just used the hurricane vases. Lindsay said your lanters looked beautiful with the ring of flowers around the base, but she thought the hurricane's would be better on my tables because I didn't have flowers to accent the lanterns.

Wow Melissa! I love the table with the table runner your Mom made. Your tables are absolutely gorgeous. I think I am going to go with the wooden chairs as well. I really like the simplicity of them. I think I am going to have some beach glass on my tables too. I'm still working on designing my tables. I am going to do half of them with flower arrangements and the other half with a beach shell/glass and floating candle/orchids!

That sounds really pretty!!!!! I did 2 different styles as well, I like it when you have one tall arrangement and one shorter for variation.

We watched our wedding video last night... we like to watch platinum weddings on sundays and we alwyas think they all spend mega bucks on ambiance and at the end it looks good... but it is still a rectangular ballroom. No matter how much they spend they can't toutch Playa Fiesta!!! Yay for us that found it and booked it!
