inexpensive florist?

Hi,

Do any of you have a contact for an inexpensive florist. My brother's rehearsal dinner may need centerpieces and since my mom & I aren't from Hawaii we're not sure where to look. Any names, ideas, or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

We are getting married in Honolulu in July and we are using Tod with Always Flowers (Home). He is so creative and he is honest - which is sometimes hard to find in a wedding florist. Also, he doesn't ask you for a budget. He takes your ideas and then creates table settings in several different price ranges for you to choose from.

I searched for a good florist, and he had the best reviews. Good luck!

I'm currently waiting on a quote from watanabe florals. I had a semi-frustrating experience with my initial florist search. Since I'm doing non-floral centerpieces and my bridesmaids are carrying parasols, I only need my bridal bouquet. Many florists were conveniently booked on my THURSDAY wedding date in MAY 2010. ugh.

Did you choose a florist yet? I've seen a lot of photographers pages raving about Flowergirls Hawaii. We are doing our own flowers. I saw a video on how to do hand tied bouquets, went to Sams Club, bought some flowers and brought them home to try it. It was so easy, and the bouquets took 5 minutes and turned out beautiful. They cost about $8.00 a piece. (not including the ribbon I tied them with, but that hasn't been decided yet)

There is a Sams one mile from the hotel, they can custom order your flowers (they also make bouquets) we can pick them up and bring them back to the hotel and put them together the day before. Stick them in some ice water in coolers and whala...done and on the cheap! We will put the bouquets in vases at the reception as centerpieces, so they will do double duty. Otherwise they would not be used anymore and what a waste...they would just end up squished on the table while everyone is eating or dancing.

By the way, the flowers I have bought from Sams club have ALWAYS outlasted any I have got from a florist.
