Maggie Sottero RD1044 Destination dress...thoughts?

I have been WAITING SO LONG for someone to say that they have a pic of themselves in this dress because no store in my area carries the sample. I am the OP of this thread and I actually bought this dress without ever trying it on, with high hopes that it will look great, but I am super nervous, so I'd love to see your pics because they will me see what it looks like on a "real" person, and not some "model chick." I just sent you an email requesting pics. I'd love to see!

 

BTW, my dress comes in April and as soon as I get it I will upload pics for you all to see!

I absolutely LOVE that dress! I ordered my Maggie Ireland in Oct, so thier 2009 line wasn't out...when this and the SD5230 showed up AFTER I ordered my Ireland, I was, to say the least, upset!

 

So when I went in for my fitting, I asked them to incorporate the shoulder portion of the SD5230 (SD5230 - by Maggie Sottero) onto my Ireland and then I'm having to put a small flower brooch in the front, smaller than the SD5230 though as to not "take away" from the dress :-)

 

But I go in for my final fitting today, so I'm excited...

 

But I LOVE that dress and the fit, if the same as the Ireland, is sooooo perfect!!! :-)

This dress is beautiful ~ I finally saw it in person at a bridal shop in orange county, CA last week. It's very simple, elegant, and flowly -- has a lot of material and suprisingly some weight to it.

 

BUT one heed of warning, if you are a busty bride (like me - 38 D) it's not the most flattering dress! I think because it comes right up under your boobie area, it tends to give that....pregnancy look. And for me at least, that's not the look I'm going for on the wedding day, lol

That dress is gorgeous! My bridal salon didn't have it when I went to try on dresses otherwise I would have tried it on. I found another Maggie dress that I love (Sterling) but I think that if I had tried that dress on it would have given it a run for its money!

Hello All:

I fall in love with this dress also, I had been tried all morning to call new england area which including MA,CT,NY,NJ,NH, and RI. I got really lucky and tried on my dress in Wedding Dresses, Bridal Shops & Services, Formal Wear Sales & Rental - East Providence, RI - Ana's Bridal & Tuxedo They do carry the sample.

I didn't get the chance take the picture, however, the dress is beautiful and I order it already. No sales tax in RI.... I am so glad that I found it.

OMG, I am in love with this dress...from the website only.

I was never one to say I needed a Maggie, but now, I think I need this one.

I keep thinking about it, must find it to try it on!!!

I decide to purchase the sample which is size 12, I usually wear size 12, however, I don't really have enough time to wait this dress come in. I will try to find the shoes in this few days, and do the fitting in the end of this week. I will try to post few photo on next week.
