OOT Bags- Did guests use the actual BAG?

I am about to buy bags for our OOT bags. Did you guests actually use the bags (canvas totes or similar) during their stay. Is it worth it to buy the canvas totes or would you just use a gift bag? If they did use the totes and you got the $0.99 ones from cheaptotes or equivalent, would you get the same ones again or go for something a little nicer like a boat tote?

 

In summary, just wondering if the canvas totes are worth it.

I think the key to OOT bags is buying a bag that will actually get used even if it means spending a little more money. I cant say from experience because i haven't gotten married yet, but from the notes of past brides thats what I got out of it!

I bought my OOT bags from cheaptotes and my guests used them the whole time they were there! There held up to being tossed around the whole week, plus I beaded the fronts of them and they still were in great shape, my BM use them as market bags now!

I got some totes at the dollar store and most of my guests used them as their everyday beach bag while down there.

We still have a few months to go but I have read over and over the guest use the bags. We splurged a little and went with a waterproof bag with our logo professionally put on. The costs is a little under $4 a bag.

 

In addition, we are doing personalized koozies and travel mugs. These three items cost the most and everything else I am super bargain shopping for. Most of the other items were under .50 with a couple being $1.

This is all good info. I was thinking about going with the gift bag but I am now rethinking that.

we got cute beach bags (pic in my siggy) and people used them on the beach. i've seen some of our guests use them since but that may be just to show me they use them.

I bought the bags from cheaptotes. Almost all of our guests used them when we were there. I doubt they are using them now, which is why I'm glad I didn't spend much more. The totes from cheaptotes are not bad quality. I'd do the same thing over if I had to.

The women used the OOT bags, especially for the excursions. I found canvas totes at the dollar store so you may be able to find some strong ones for cheap as we move into spring.
