Notarized dosuments

So I am getting married at Couples Negril. I had the birth certificates translated, now all I have to do is get them notarized. The only thing is, I spoke with my notary and she said she would do an affidavit for both of them. Would that be good or do they want something else.

 

What did you guys do?

We just had copies of our birth certificates made and they stamped them with their seal and signed them. My MIL works for the district justice and we were able to have him do this for us. I'm not sure about the affadavit part though. We didn't have one, just the stamped certificates.
