Any reviews for Riu MoBay weddings yet?

Hi - I am new to this and still have plenty of time to plan (thinking of April 2010) but I am just about settled on Riu Montego Bay for our wedding (about 20 guests). It's so new though that I haven't found any reviews on it yet...all the Riu Ochos Rios and Negril reviews are great and very helpful. Any RMB brides yet??

Yes I there is a fairly new review for RMB in the reviews section of the forum. You might have to go a few pages in to find it as it has been a week or 2.

 

There are also about 3 or 4 of us leaving very soon for our weddings at the end of Feb begining of March. (3 of us as just days apart). We will have full reports and pics when we get back, so there will be more soon!

It's funny that you answered me because when I was googling things to find reviews on RMB your blog came up (the one asking about RMB because you were nervous because it was so new and you couldn't find reviews either!) and that's how I found this site! And it's been so helpful already!

I got married there on December 4, 2008! It was AMAZING! A friend of mine went to Riu Ocho Rios for her honeymoon 2 months prior to us going for our wedding and she saw our pics when we got back and said MoBay was WAY better!!!!! Good luck, it is so amazing, Remember.......................RELAX! Every little detail doesn't have to be planned out perfectly, no one will notice if something is a little off..... I had an amazing time. I created a website if you pm me I will pass it along , I don't want everyone and there brother to have all access to all my pics though. lol There kinda a private thing you know!

RMB12/4/08 did you post a review on here? I can't seem to find it. The only one I can find is Indigo's. ARe there any others out there?

Yes I did. I think it is under the thread about RMB dates.... Then a couple other places too, if you have any questions just ask!!!! Beautiful place!!!! You will be sooooo happy you chose this resort!

I'm also anxious to get some more reviews of the RMB weddings coming up. My daughter is getting married there the week of June 21, 2009. We are especially interested in finding out who the wedding coordinator is & do we contact her or will she contact us? I'm trying to help get as much info as possible on anything & everything regarding the RIU weddings in Montego Bay.

I have been working with a WC at the resort name Chantelle. She is really busy and can be a little slow to respond if the wedding is still a little while off.

 

She did contact me about 6 weeks prior with extra details and info.

 

If there is anything specific, please let me know. I think I have almost all of it now as we are just a short time from leaving.
