my rule was, if they did not send the RSVP card or give it to us filled out then i assumed they were nto coming...they could still come to cabo, there just want a guarantee that there would be a place for them at the reception.

OK I'm way late on this but you summed up my feelings with that statement. It's both sad and upsetting. I've also had to call people and ask if they were coming because they didn't send the rsvp. I get responses like "oh, I misplaced it", "I forgot, you know I'm coming", "I won't know until May" and "it's cute so I want to keep it". I made my final round of phone calls. There are a few people who have been totally wishy washy who I am done chasing after and I took them out of the count. At this point if these people show up in Mexico they won't be allowed to board the boat that goes to the wedding, and you know what? I won't feel bad. Friendships can end, fueds can start, I'm done with it. Shouldn't we be the ones catered to?!?!?

I sent out my invites at the end of March and my own mother has yet to respond! I feel your pain. My mail deadline ends tomorrow, so people better get started on the website rsvp.

steve's grandma did this but it was ok because we knew for sure she was coming...tickets and rooms were booked.
