A confused NEWBIE! ;)

HELLO EVERYONE!

 

First of all, I'd like to say that this is an awesome site and much needed!!! So hats off to those that started it.

 

I'm newly engaged and am currently in the process of figuring out how to do this whole destination wedding. Originally I really wanted to go to Costa Rica but (for many reasons) have decided to go for Mexico and the Mayan Riviera. WHich hotel?? Well, that is my issue at the moment. The ones I would LOVE to go to seem to be a bit out of my price range. eg. Azul fives etc. So I am now considering two other hotels. Secrets Capri or the Valentin. Anyone have any advise ??

 

The wedding is to be held March 2010 (although I am flexible with dates too). I do want to book something soon so that I am able to give my family and friends lots of notice to book the time off and save up!

 

It's a bit confusing though since I've never been to Mexico and am a bit worried about chosing the wrong resort... been doing lots of research! and reading lots of your posts!!!

 

Ok so I won't blabber any further and will keep you psoted on my progress!

I would suggest searching for reviews of the particular resorts you are considering or browsing the wedding review and Riveria Maya sections.

Welcome. I was in same shoes, the only difference is that we want to get married in Puerto Vallarta. Have you tried working with a TA on pricing for the Azul fives?
