My mom and I made my veil last weekend, ok well she did most of the work. I wanted a simple cut edge long veil so I really did not want to spend $150 - $200 for one since I will only wear it for the ceremony and if its not too windy. So I searched the internet and found some great tips on how to make one. I bought 108" wide and 90" long tulle from JoAnne fabric for $7.00 and I got a long plastic comb from Harmons 2 for $2.00.

Here are the steps:

1) thread a needle (we used white thread) and starting at one end of the top we sewed the thread through the tulle so it bunched together

2) once it was bunched together we sew the tulle to the comb

3) fold the veil in 1/2 and we used a round table cloth and laid it over the tulle and eyed it to get the rounded bottom, we did this last bc we may have to shorten it bc I want my veil to the same length as the train on my dress.

thats it so for less then $10 my veil is donesmile29.gif. I wish I took pictures of making it bc I am sure my description is poor but hopefully it will help.

Here are some final pictures
