I'm happy to announced that we FINALLY confirmed our ceremony site - EcoTulum!!!!!! After month's of being undecisive we have the site booked, and I am so relieved! Our wedding is June 13, 2009, and as you can imagine I am scrambling to get things in order. I still haven't purchased or tried on a wedding dress.

 

Anyway, I wanted to share the wonderful news with everyone. Our ceremony will be at sunset and we will do the Mayan Cosmic Ceremony.

 

Has anyone else on this site had any experience with EcoTulum or been married there, getting married there, or know someone who has? The WC has been VERY respsonsive and VERY professional.

Congratulations!!! A lot of bridal salons are having sample sale right now. Also, the bridal department at Saks 5th Avenue is closing down (except for a handful of locations) and all the dresses are on sale. Happy dress hunting!

We are looking at this site as well for out 10/2010 wedding and honeymoon. It has been hard trying to figure this out from afar. My only fear with this place is it is clothing optional facility not just beach. I am not sure how prevalent it is, but I just can't imagine dealing with that in regards to my family and friends.

 

Where are you staying for your honeymoon? Good luck planning! It is an exciting time.

Congratulations April, I know how frustrating it can be trying a find a venue that meets all of your needs. We are exploring Tulum as well for our wedding and will be down there at the beginning of March for a scouting trip. While EcoTulum is not one of the locations we are considering, we can swing by the hotel and check it out for you if you would like?

 

What wedding coordinator are you using? Are they from the hotel or a WC company?
