We are getting married on November 26 at El Dorado Royale.
We actually got engaged at El Dorado Seaside in January and were so impressed with the service that we wanted to have our wedding at an El Dorado resort as well.
So far I have ordered my dress, ordered the MOH's dress, bought the invitations (DIY from Michaels), ordered the Save the date postcards from Vista Print (100 for free, just pay for shipping), and bought my shoes. Obviously I'm way behind some of you!
I've also started with some of my details with the resort. I am booking Claudia Rodriguez for photography.
I'm looking forward to finalizing more of the details soon!

We loved the EDSS. Your wedding will be wonderful! The night we got engaged they helped set everything up. It was fabulous! The two waiters we had even brought out dessert while humming "Here comes the Bride". Judging from the effort they put out for an engagement, I can only imagine how great the wedding will be! Congrats!

Hey Ladies I can't believe I'm just finding this thread, as I too am a November 09 Bride. My wedding is 11.10.09 in St Thomas by way of the Carnival Freedom... This is what I have done so far:

-Booked WC Janelle Scott of Island Bliss Weddings in St Thomas

-Set up (a very active) website

-Sent out Invites

-Have numerous RSVPs/Bookings (RSVP/Booking ends this Friday 3.13.09)

-Ordered gown (It just came in this week, 4 months early so I have to get together $400 in 2 weeks to pick it up)

-Invited BMs and GMs our best man isn't confirmed yet.

-Found BM dresses (they haven't been order yet thou)

-Purchased mugs and postcards for OOT Bags

-Booked tour/transport for wedding day

-Booked cruise

-completed Pre Marital Counseling

-started making homemade soaps for OOT bags

What's left to do...

-everything else lol well we have a cruise wedding so my wc in St thomas is handling everything that occurs on the wedding day

-create/assemble OOT bags (I want them done by the July)

-schedule welcome aboard cocktail party on the ship

-order t-shirts

-stay within budget

May I ask you all a personal question. What's ur budget. Our budget is less than $15,000. I'm trying to stay around $12,000 but we had initially budgeted for 30 guests and I think we'll have more like 40+. Since we're doing a cruise we decided to book a suite so that's $3000. I'm sure we can do this for ab $12,000 and 40 ppl but I have high standards. This is why I'm starting soo early bc I want to spread the cost out over a few months. And I'm doing a lot of DIY projects (which I love).

That's funny, cuz we were thinking of going to the Azul Sensatori for our honeymoon.

We should be easy to find - a large group of drunken sunburned Canadians! Feel free to come and join us!

Prettyhazardous...I've got a loosey-goosey budget of about $20,000, and this includes our 2 weeks in Mexico, plus the wedding/reception etc, private function for group, photog from Canada, and all the extras at the hotel...however I haven't been including the OOT bag costs or my dress or my FI's clothes, etc.

EDRBride...I'll definitely look out for you! We're leaving the Sensatori for EDR on the 22nd and staying a week. I'll touch base with you closer to the date. What are your wedding colours? I'm just thinking if there's anything that I'm brining down for my own wedding (decorations) that you could use (like possibly chair bows/chinese lanterns) I can bring them over for you. Our colours are turquoise with accents of red...

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the site & new to the wedding planning. So I thought that it would be a piece a cake to secure a resort in November of this year. Wrong! This process is very frustrating but from what I hear this is the hardest part. There's so much information but I think I'm overload today. We're working with a TA & we thought that we'd secured Dreams Tulum to now find out that our potential wedding date is not available. Well, anyway it feels a little better to vent. We're looking to get married in Riviera Maya, Mexico & our guest list could go up to 100 (minimum of 60). If you have any advice, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for listening! Kiuana
