Guitar Harp Duo - Is this a normal cost?

Hi-

 

My wedding coordinator at Dreams is recommending a guitar harp duo for the ceremony music and coctail hour.

 

I love the idea of it think it will be cute.

 

My concern is that she quote me a price of $350 per hour.

 

Is this a normal price?

 

Are there other similar vendors you recommend getting quoted from?

 

I just want to try to make sure I am not getting ripped off.

Hi Erika,

 

I paid $350/hr for a Mexican trio (harp, guitar and bass?-can't remember the 2rd instrument). We were quoted prices of $300-$400 for musicians ranging from a solo guitarist to trio's. Seems like that might be the going rate.

I'm being charged $450 USD for 45 minutes for a violinist... They originally quoted me $650 and I said "forget it" and they came back with this price instead.

That sounds right. I got married at the Dreams Cancun and paid $600.00 for our Mexican Trio

I am using the harp trio and they are amazing! They auditioned for me and then the following night they played a coctail party I attended. They were lovely! I believe we are being charged $280 an hour for the 3 people. I don't have any communication with them as my chef booked it for us. I found most musicians to be about $300 an hour as we are using a mariachi band of 10 which is $484/hour, 2 spanish guitarists (one is $275 and one is $350), and the harp trio.

Do you have the contact information for the harp trio your using? I would love something like that for my ceremony and cocktail hour but I havent had much luck finding someone. Its always good to know that you heard them and they were amazing!!! If you could PM me any information on them if you dont mind I would really apperciate it! thanks a bunch!
