The best sunscreen i have found. I personally don't have problems with burning however my best friend does. She could be out maybe 20 mins and be worse than a lobster. I found this in florida for her and she can't stop thanking me.. 110 spf I guess you can't beat!!

I heard SPF after 50 is not as effective as one would think. I need to research this! Also, 110 makes no sense. SPF is the percentage of solar rays the lotion is blocking out. You can't block out 110%. Again, I need to research this stuff but that lotion might be a good start, even if it is only 100% SPF, who cares as long as it works haha.

Ughhhh I've been thinking about this quite a bit myself. Definitely wearing strapless bikini for the 5 days we are there prior to THE day, but my dress is not strapless but goes all the way down in the back. So even with the strapless bikini top, I still have a super chance that I'll have tanlines in the back.

Solution...lots of sunscreen, unclipping the back of the bikini when I'm laying on my stomach, and avoiding the sun during peak times. Also, hat on most of the time. I'm still nervous though...

I've been worried about this too--strapless is NOT an option for me.  As much as it pains me to say it, I'm going to go the tanning bed route before we go to get a little base color, and basically avoid the sun like the plague during the days leading up to my wedding (we get there Sunday and the wedding is Wednesday, so I don't think it should be too bad). Looking nice on my wedding day is more important than getting a little bronze to me, so I won't be laying out at all unless it's in the shade.

I think a previous poster's suggestion of varying your swim suits and the types of straps so they don't land in the same spot every day is a really good idea as well.

We had 6 days before we got married and I was definitely worried about tan lines. Anyway - I made sure I pre-tanned before Mexico, lathered up with sun screen and wore my bathing suites that had no straps or removable ones when I was in the sun. And made sure my cover ups were strapless as well. It all worked out and I had no tan lines :)

glad to hear it's possible! As much as it pains me I'll have to go tanning before I go. I hate being white, but I also hate tanning lol. It's a necessary evil in this case :). I also need a big hat to protect my nose, that's the first thing that goes, no matter how much sunscreen I put on.

It is - and yes, it sucks tanning before hand but it made a difference for sure. I totally forgot the tip about wearing a hat as well. My hair stylist told me to keep my hair vibrant to wear my hat before hand so I picked up a cute straw fedora one and wore it religiously in the sun till the wedding :)

As a Cancun-regular and self-admitted whitey, this sunscreen in my life saver down there.  It's a little more expensive, and the bottle is a little smaller than normal sunscreen, so I try to use it mostly on my face and nose so I don't end up looking like Rudolph, but I think I'm going to splurge and use it all over in the days before the wedding.  A few bottles of expensive sunscreen is better than being peely in my wedding pictures!
