Anyone rent a boat/catamaran near Playa for guest excursions?

they really arent that far from Tulum. I mean cancun is about 80 miles, but Puerto Adventuras is around 20 miles and Akumal is only 15 miles from Tulum.

I really wanted to do this for our guests but we have some people coming in on Friday at 3 and leaving Sunday morning so I think its not fair for them to miss it and I don't want them to be rushed or delayed and then everyone not be at the resort when they arrive. So now I was wondering if anyone knows if these companies will rent the boat to only 2 people? Thought it might be a nice gift for my FI.
