We have several options, but most people are doing Thursday-Monday (4N/5D) or Monday-Monday (7N/8D).

4 Nights/5 Days = $583 plus airfare (around $500)

7 Nights/8 Days = $984pp plus airfare (around $500)

Includes all-inclusive plus transfers.

We arranged for the below rates. The hotel is all-inclusive. It also has 2 sides: Divi and Tamerijn. Each side is technically is own resort, but guests at one have free range of both. Both participate in the all-inclusive concept. So the whole operation really functions like 1 huge resort.

Divi Aruba All-Inclusive: Gardenview
  • $275 per room per night - single adult occupancy
  • $350 per room per night - double adult occupancy
  • $510 per room per night - triple adult occupancy
  • $660 per room per night - quad adult occupancy
Divi Aruba All-Inclusive: Beachside
  • $285 per room per night - single adult occupancy
  • $370 per room per night - double adult occupancy
  • $540 per room per night - triple adult occupancy
  • $700 per room per night - quad adult occupancy
Divi Aruba All-Inclusive: Oceanview
  • $295 per room per night - single adult occupancy
  • $380 per room per night - double adult occupancy
  • $570 per room per night - triple adult occupancy
  • $740 per room per night - quad adult occupancy
Tamerijn Aruba All-inclusive: Deluxe Oceanfront
  • $255 per room per night - single adult occupancy
  • $310 per room per night - double adult occupancy
  • $450 per room per night - triple adult occupancy
  • $580 per room per night - quad adult occupancy

Children up to age 17 stay free with an adult.

Our guests are paying $1800 for one week all inclusive with everything included.  We originally wanted to find someone a little bit cheaper, but just couldn't find a resort we liked with a lower price.  I haven't heard a single thing from our guests about the price being to high.

Given most of our guest are young people, we are doing this wedding purely for ourselves as our parents are not attending. We will have AHR though. I eventually decided on Gran Caribe Real because of rate and location.

Our group rate was only $1105 per person including flight, 6 night 7 days all inclusive, transfer and all tax. This is traveling from Vancouver to Cancun.

I agree that no one complained to us about the cost. (Who know what people may have said behind our backs!) But our rates were per night, so guests were able to make the trip as long or short as their budget allowed.

ours are paying $2K/couple for a long weekend (3 nights, 4 days), including most airfare (around $450pp) and transfers ($100/couple) to the Royal Playa del Carmen resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

I think we could have found resorts that cost less, but $1,500 vs $2,000/couple wouldn't have made much of a difference. either people have planned and budgeted for a vacation or they haven't. and unless you drive somewhere and stay with family, I think most vacations cost around $2K once you factor in the rental car, meals, drinks, etc etc etc.

Thats a really nice option.  I think we had had that choice we might have had more people come, but oh well, Im happy with the group that will be coming!

I think one of the great things about DWs is that the people who come really want to be there (as opposed to traditional weddings, where some people may grumble through the day because they feel obligated). So regardless of the cost and the people who decide the spend that amount, everyone will most likely be super excited to be there, making the day that much better.
