How to thank bridal shower hostesses?

Recommended Posts

While I don't think that a gift is necessary I do believe that a card/note is. I am having two showers; one hosted by former wedding party that can't make the trip and the second by FILs

1st. Will receive a Coach umbrella and shower gels, since the other BM are receiving Coach wristlets

2nd. Will receive personalized spa robes since they are older in age.

i got personalized stationary for my sisters and mom who are hosting a shower for me. for another shower from my fi's mom's friend, i got her a gift certificate for a facial. i agree that any gift would work but you should definitely do something to thank them - even if it's just a card or flowers.

I was raised to bring a hostess gift to whatever function you attend, regardless if it is for you or not. Wine, candle, candy, flowers are always safe bets. Since the function is for you a nice thank you card should come after the event, people want to know that you thought of them later on, it is easy to thank someone during the function, but some thought and effort has to go into to do it later on.
