Reception speeches?

This is what we kind of have planned for the wedding reception speeches. What do you think?

 

 

1.Grace before dinner

 

Dinner.

 

2.Francis’ parents toasting the uniting of the two families

 

3.Heather’s parents toasting us as a couple

 

4.Francis' sisters toasting Heather to in a welcome to the family

 

5.Heather's sisters welcoming Francis to the family

 

6.Francis toasting Heather

 

7.Heather toasting Francis

 

8.Francis and Heather toasting both sides of the family

 

9.Anyone else welcome to toast Francis and Heather

 

Is this alright? We don't have bridesmaid or groomsmen. We don't plan on having a MC, instead, we will have the programs sitting underneath the menues at each place setting.

We didn't plan any speeches. Whoever wanted to get up and say something did so ... but that was the extent of it for us and it worked out well. Some said a few words at the rehearsal dinner, some at the reception and others who don't like public speaking (like my family) didn't say anything, which was fine too.

Hey, I work as a Event Manager and help people plan there wedding reception and this is the typical format for the speaches.....I think it is fine, I like the idea of the programs if your not having a MC - sounds good to me...

Great- thanks ladies. We weren't planning on having anything formal like speeches, but, once again, family and friends started asking about speeches and which ones they are suppose to give.

I think this is great! You are prepared girl! Unlike me who was too focused on everything else to even think about speeches. I did give one at our AHR but it didn't have the same effect as in Mexico.

I haven't even thought that far... I think that FI and I may just do a quick thank you speach and be done with it.

Sounds good. Sometimes couples have some additional toasts after diinner to break it up too

We aren't having any but thats only because our whole wedding has gone tits up and i think it will be married, drink and then all disperse lol

 

I did say I was going to stand up and say "well some of you have been here before!!" lmao
