Been to Dom Rep in Aug/Sept time?

Hi All,

I am looking at getting married in Punta Cana around the end of August and would like your views on what the weather is like during this time - have you been during this period and if so was it hot,raining,thunders etc?

hot and humid. i'd plan a wedding either early in the day or later around dusk.

Just from what I have read it is there rainy season. And you also have to worry about hurricane season.

I am getting married in the beginning of August and I did a lot of research. Yes, it is hurricane season and 'rainy' season; but it usually doesn't rain all day from what I have read.. Only short intermident showers when there is not a hurricane.

BUT, the prices are better in August.. that is why I went for it. And if it rains a little, we will get wet. If it rains a lot, we will either postpone(everyone is there for at least 2 days after the wedding date) or move inside.
