Question for those who are using Suzanne Morel

I want to have my hair done by Suzanne Morel but I would like to do my makeup myself, however, Suzanne has told me that she will not come to my hotel to just do one service and that I would have to come to her salon (my bridesmaids are all doing their own hair and makeup so it would just be me getting my hair done..).

I'm a bit disappointed as I didn't want to have to go to the salon on my wedding day and it sounded like a lot of you had just your hair done by her in your hotel room.. Has this two service minimum always been in effect or am I the first to be told this?

When I got my hair done by her for my wedding, I did have to go to her salon as the Riu does not allow outside vendors on to the hotel grounds. (Does Dreams allow you to bring in outside people?)

While it is crappy that Suzanne won't come to your hotel to do your hair, I do understand why she doesn't do this-Her and her staff are VERY busy, and unfortunately she may not see it as a benefit to go all that way for just one service. (Crappy, I know) If all your girls were getting something done, then i don't think she'd mind coming to the resort. On the day of my wedding, one of her assistants drove us back to the hotel which was very nice!

When I went for my hair trial 2 days before our wedding, Suzanne was really pushing me to have my make-up done as well. I was only planning on having them do my hair. On a side note, I actually took in a pic of Kaylee's wedding day hair style and wanted something similar. It didn't turn out so well on me though! What they did looked nothing like hers (I had a different stylist). My trial lasted 4 hours because they just kept trying different styles. Suzanne was nice but she was getting very frustrated with me. We ended up just going with my hair down and curled (after all that!). I really could have done this myself but after all that time I felt bad. I did end up doing a make-up trial that day as well (after much persistence from Suzanne). She kept saying that everyday make-up was very different from wedding day make-up. The trial did end up looking good so I agreed to wedding day make-up as well. This ended up turning out a lot heavier then the trial. In the pics it looks good but in person I felt very made-up.
