Who did personalized m&m's?

I was checking this out on their website and was wondering how you ordered if you did. Did you order the 5lb bulk and then bag them yourself? This is what I was thinking of doing - 5lb is $130. It's cute and all but that seems expensive for candy.

 

any thoughts?

I did personalized m&m's. I ordered 5 7oz bags and got one 7oz bag for free. This cost me about $60. I divided the m&m's into small baggies with ziplock tops and put a baggie into customized travel suitcase tins.

 

I'm not sure how many guests you're trying to accomodate so I can't say how much you should get. I only had 40 guests and we had enough for our purposes (though one more bag would have been great to have!)

I wanted to but did not go through because it was a nice to have with my OOT bags. I would go with bulk depending on your # of guests...

I've been looking at the website for the M&M's...they are sooo cute. My only concern is flying them down to a warm location...has anyone taken them to a DW in Mexico? Or just used them for showers and such?

I ordered the 5lb bag and then ordered 4 inch organza bags and bagged the M&Ms in Mexico. We had 45 guests, and we filled the 4 inch bags, and had just a little bit left over.

 

Which means that I traveled with them to mexico as well I carried them on and I left them sealed in the bag they came in until a couple days before the wedding. We then put them in the organza bags and kept them in the air conditioned hotel room until the morning of the wedding. By the end of the night they were a little slimy from the humidity, but by then they had spent over 12 hours outside and it was humid!

We did personalized M&M's and took them unopened to Mexico. I had my BM's add them to these little palm tree boxes.

 

 

They did fine in the heat. We put them on our guest book table at the dinner reception.
