Insane Honeymoon Idea

This just seems so outrageous to me, but it IS a once in a lifetime opportunity...

 

Our travel agent mentioned that there are great deals for Bora Bora for the summer, and since we're already in Hawaii, why not go to Tahiti!?! Please someone tell me that this is insane and we should just go to Maui for a few days! I'm probably getting ahead of myself, because we don't even have the prices yet, so it may be completely over-budget... but still... Please someone give me a reason to say NO to Tahiti. I have no idea how to get my FH to let it go. It just seems way too extravagant...

In my opinion, if the price is right, you should go for it! You'll never have the justification again of spending an above-average price for a vacation. And you want a honeymoon that stands out from every other trip you've been on, right? That's just how I see it!

 

The accountant in me wants us to have a cheap honeymoon, but I know it's a life experience that I want to indulge in and I want to make sure it's super memorable, so I think we're going to splurge a little bit. Nothing wrong with that, right?!

 

Let me know what the prices are when your TA tells you!

OMG Tahiti and Bora Bora are soooo worth it, if you have good prices go for it ! As you said it's once in a lifetime, and you will have other opportunities to go back to Hawai ! Hawai is nice but Tahiti is so.... amazing ! Splendid ! Honeymoonish !

I say create one scenario at a time. Find out wha the prices are for Bora Bora and then determine if its insane or not.

Totally do it. I agree with Heather, this is the one time you can justify an over the top vacation. You will probably never get a chance like this again.

We went to Tahiti (moorea, actually) for our HM. It was fantastic. If you go see if there is any way to swing an over water bungalow. OMG so amazing!
