Now I have another problem!! sad.gif

I'm getting a stupid rash...again! I've eliminated the possibility of the rash being caused by hemp in my tanning lotion. Maybe it's the solution they use to clean they lay-down tanning beds? I used the lay-down twice since starting up again for the first time since August and I used the stand-up booth last night (for lots of reasons). I have no idea what's causing this allergic reaction and it makes me so sad because I want a bit of a glow before my wedding and I'm too chicken to try spray-tanning. Now what do I do? Ugh, so disappointed!!

Also, be careful of any moisturizer or body wash with mineral oil in the ingredients. That will strip a natural tan and streak a fake tan.

I really like Designer Skin's Spellbound. It has bronzer in it, but only a little, so it won't be obvious if you miss a spot. Plus, it makes my skin feel like cashmere afterwards.

Don't forget to use an after-tan lotion after you shower too. Preferably a tan lotion and after tan lotion with different vitamins and components for anti-aging so that your skin is tan and healthy too.

You just can't win can you!!?? Very crappy!
What about if you try it sans lotion?? I know it's very much frowned upon and you won't get as much of a tan, but if that's all that works then you should try it. Maybe there is something in a non-bronzing lotion that doesn't agree with you. If you go without lotion, just make sure to moisturize a TON!!! Good Luck hun!! I'm going to try & track down the tanning fairy & send her your way!!

Haha awww, thanks Amanda! I really appreciate that! wink.gif I know, there just seems to be no winning with me and tanning lately, it's so strange since it never used to be a problem a few years ago. I made an appointment with my doc for tomorrow afternoon, so I'm hoping he can give me some insight.

I think I may try tanning w/o lotion...at this point I'll try just about anything!! lol

It could just be the tan itself. I just got back from wedding and got some great sun, and then my forehead broke out in prickly heat that looked like 30 zits! Ew. I think if you are brave you can try to go a few more times and see if your body gets used to it. It could just be heat rash.

Oh, and anything with "sizzle" makes me breakout. As the tan place if your stuff has sizzle. It means when the skin gets hot and you get all red and stuff.

oh and what about spray tan. It can look orange if you overdo it, but a few days before the wedding a medium spray tan could be okay. And if you get a little color on your trip before the wedding from the sun, it will make it more natural. Just a suggestion. Hope it works out for you! White dresses look nice with a tan.

I wouldn't keep tanning, it'll likely just get worse and a bad rash can take weeks to clear up. It's possible that you've become sensitive to the UV light.

You said you're scared to try the spray-tan/mystic tan. I say GO FOR IT, give it a try. You've still got plenty of time before your wedding that it'll be long gone in plenty of time if you don't like it. On the other hand, you may love it, and it'll reduce your stress! Ask for the medium level (level 2?) and if you like the results you can go again in a few days a second time to darken it (still with a level 2).

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

Thanks again for your support ladies! I am freaking out, I want a tan for my wedding!! I may just end up trying the spray tan but I've never done it before. Where can I find out more about it? Is there anything that I need to know??

Maybe I am getting sensitive to UV light in my "old" age lol, that's sad! If that's true though, wouldn't I be bothered in the summer when I'm outside too? This only seems to happen these days when I tan indoors...
