Has anyone used peridress ?

I bought my first dress from peridress. The main reason I used the site was because the dress I found online that i liked was discontinued and, obviously, the price! Well, I did get the dress, and pretty much on time (7 weeks; they said it would be 6 weeks).

 

The dress was similar to the one I saw online. Since I didn't get to see the "real thing" in person I had nothing to compare it to so I thought it was pretty good, although I could tell that they used slightly cheaper materials, and in some areas it was pretty crappy work.

 

My mom and my sis-in law said they liked it when I tried it on (I hadn't tried a single wedding dress on before I got this one). Then I tried the dress on for my best friend. She was pretty appalled. She told me I had to go try on some more wedding dresses. Obviously I was upset but I did what she said. We went to try on some "real" wedding dresses and WOW! what a huge difference!!! now I see how cheaply the peridress dress is made. I got a dress from a salon for $600, which is a fair bit more than the 125 I originally spent, but for a once in a lifetime day, I want to look perfect. and I know I will now! (and I might alter the peridress dress for a trash the dress outfit!)

I did a ton of research into the different chinese dressmaker sites... I did end up buying a dress from Duosheng and am waiting to receive in within the next month!! It's not the Maggie I linked above, in the end I was deciding between a Paloma Blanca and a SanPatrick. I went with the SanPatrick. Jacilynda on the forum used ZeroLove (aka Landy Bridal) and had an AWESOME experience. Try searching "knock-off wedding dress" or something similar, a bunch of us have posted pictures there and it's looking pretty good

BEWARE of Peridress!!!!  Cheap quality, and they do NOT give refunds.   I ordered a dress from them, they took about 6 weeks to get it to me...after paying for it via paypal.  I thought I'd be safe using paypal, but Peridress knows how to work it so you cannot file a claim with paypal, or refuse payment on your charge account.  They don't get the dress to you until the deadline to file a complaint or dispute the charges has past.  So you get no help from paypal.  The dress I ordered was a cheap mess.  Zipper broke the first time I zipped it, top was sewn four sizes too small, the slip hung at least 5 inches below the dress and on and on and on....not to mention the cheap ass hoop slip they sold me.  It was made of wire and paper!!!  I corresponded several times with NICO, my "rep" there.  He told me to take the dress and get it fixed, but the seamstress I took it to said it would cost more than I paid for the dress to fix it.  Then NICO said to return the dress and I'd get a full refund of purchase price.  Even with full refund I'm out 100.00 in shipping. (40.00 to ship to me, and then another 60.00 to ship the piece of crap back to them).  This evening...of course they are only working in the wee hours for us in the US....I get an eamail from Nico...he says he's happy to let me know that they will give me a 10% refund of purchase price and no refund on shipping or otherwise.  10%???????!!!!!!!!!  That's nothing!!!  He said that if I refused it, that they will send correspondences and pictures to paypal China and close the case.  So, basically, they have the dress AND my money.  I have nothing but anger.  i do have pics to prove what I say is true!  I took photos of this horrible mess.

Peridress is BAD NEWS.  They ripped me off BAD.  Told me to return my crappy dress and they'd refund me.  But now that they have the dress, they refuse to refund anything but 10% and are ignoring my emails.  BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

Whatever you do and mark my words do not and i mean do not purchase anything from peridress. I ordered a wedding dress that looked nothing like the picture. The crinolin was ripped in many places, the dress was way too long, left arm extremely tight compared to the right arm, there was a good 14 in that was not sewn on the dress, the beads on the lace were falling off, there was no embelishments on the skirt. the dress was way too tight and i ordered 2 sizes bigger. Very poor sewing, the lace was very poor quality. Pd for a box that they refuse to pay me back for, garment bag had no zipper and ripped. The dress was a disaster. It was also late I had to reschedule my wedding. It has been over 7 weeks that i have been trying to get my money back and they tell me they will only give me 50% of the dress and will not give me the money they owe me for the box, garment bag, and hanger and it cost me $205 to return the dress.. I am still in the process of daily emails fighting for me money back. PoorPOOR POOR SERVICE AND QUALITY. DO NOT ORDER  AND I MEAN DON'T ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND YOU HAVE TO FIGHT WITH THEM DAILY TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK AND I AM STILL FIGHTING TO GET MY MONEY BACK. I WILL CONTINUE TO BASH THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY ARE TERRIBLE TO DEAL WITH. TAKE MY WORD PLEASE DON'T DEAL WITH THEM I WOULD HATE TO SEE SOMEONE ELSE GETTING SCREWED BY THIS COMPANY.

I purchased a wedding dress from peridress, yes, they are very inexpensive but take my words seriously don't buy from them. It has been a nightmare for me with this company. The dress was late did not even look like the dress i ordered. It was extremely poor quality, torn crinolin, left arm very tight cut into my skin, there was an area that measured 14 inches lenght that was not sewn, the beads were falling off, no embelishments on the bottom of the dress. It was too tight and i ordered 2 sizes bigger than what i normally wear. The lace was very cheap looking, the sewing was terrible quality, the dress was way too long.I also purchase a box for $25.00 which i did not receive, garment bag zipper was broken and ripped and was charged for that and a hanger that i also purchased which they will not pay for either. It cost me $205 to return the dress and it has benn 7 weeks and i keep getting excuse after excuse for them not returning my money. I paid $300 for the dress and they are only willing to give me 50% back and not even giving me back the money for the box, garment bag or hanger. They are terrible to deal with. I have sent them over 20 emails and still no refund. TAKE MY WORD DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM THEY ARE NOTHING BUT SCAMMERS.I WILL MAKE THIS MY MISSION TO DESTROY THEM FOR WHAT THEY DID TO ME. Please please be aware of peridress. They are scammers i ordered a wedding dress. what a disaster it was,torn crinolin, too tight even though i ordered 2 sizes bigger, poor poor quality sewing. The beads were falling off. area of dress 14 inches long not sewn, no embelishments on bottom of dress. Does not look like the picture at all. Also purchase a box for $25.00, garment bag with no zipper and torn purchased for $10.00 and hanger paid $5.00 for. The dress was $300.00 and the only thing they say they will pay is 50% of dress that's it, not even giving me back the money for the box garment bag and hanger plus it cost me $205 to return the dress. Had to cancel my wedding and lost all my deposits. I have been dealing with them for 7 weeks and still no refund. It is my mission to inform people not to purchase anything from Peridress they give excuse after excuse. So please take my advice and do not deal with these people because they are nothing but scammers. Please Please Beware. Biggest mistake i ever made was to deal with this company. Don't make the same mistake i made because i guarantee you, YOU WILL NOT BE SATISFIED AND YOU HAVE TO FIGHT DAILY TO TRY AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

I get where you are coming from. I ordered a wedding dress from Nico also. Like you say what a mess. The dress was too tight even though i ordered 2 sizes larger, left arm so tight cut into my skin, the beads were falling off the dress, an area of the dress missed sewing 14in long, the crinolin was torn , too long, no embelishments on bottom of dress, ordered and paid for a box $25.00 and never received it, garment bag pd $10.00 for no zipper and torn, and hanger that i paid for. I purchased the dress for $300 and they say the only refund they will give me is 50% of the dress which after 7 weeks and at least 20 emails i still have not received any kind of refund. It also cost me $205 to return the dress. I had to cancel the wedding because the dress did not arrive in time but it would not have mattered because i would have never worn this crap of a dress they sent me. They have poor quality control and should not even be in business because all they do is scam people. My mission is to let anyone and everyone know what kind of company peridress is. They  totally ruined my wedding. So people beware DO  NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT DEAL WITH PERIDRESS. YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS YOU GET. Stay away far away from this site. They sell garbage dresses. I ordered a wedding dress and the sewing was a disaster. Ripped crinolin, left arm too tight, dress too tight ordered 2 sizes larger than what i wear, beads falling off, 14inches long of an area of the dress was not even sewn, no embelishments on bottom of dress. I paid $300 for this piece of crap and it cost me $205 to return it. I have been waiting 7 weeks for my refund and they said they will only refund me 50% of the amount. Purchased a wedding box for my dress for $25 that i never got and they refuse to pay for a garment bag with no zipper and torn that I paid $10 for and a hanger for $5 for which they won't refund either. If you know of anyone else who wants to purchase from them tell them it will be a big mistake and get no satisfaction whatsoever. So stay away and tell all your friends to do the same. Their dresses are nowhere near like what you see on their site. Pass this on to all you know. Because i will try to disuade anyone who tries to buy one of their so called garments. As far as i am concerned it is all done with cheap labour and something should be done about it. I won't stop/ they ruined my wedding. The dress did not even arrive on time. Trust me go somewhere else to buy your dress. Good Luck
