I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. Just take comfort in knowing that you did have an opportunity to have your father/daughter dance, even though it was not on your wedding day. He will certainly be with you on that day in your heart. I lost my mother 12/28/08 and today is the anniversary of her memorial service. Even though I miss her so much, she is with God and no longer in pain. I setup a memorial table at my reception with memory candles of my father, my mother and DH's mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just read your other thread about dancing with your dad on Thanksgiving and it made me cry. I am so happy for you that you had a special moment with him.

We are honoring my FI's parents (both of whom are deceased) in subtle ways are our wedding. Similar to the way BachataBride did.

My thoughts are with you.

First and foremost, I would like to extend to you my deepest sympathy in the loss of your father.

Yesterday i read this entire thread and was in tears while reading. I coudn't move myself to read the other thread about the dance because I knew I would be in even more tears. Well, I read it today and it was beautiful! I'm so glad that you your father and family surprised you.

I'm sorry that your father can't be there on your wedding physically but he will be with you in spirit. As I tell my girls about those close to us who have passed away, The good thing is that they are in your heart all the time looking after you and there for you. I know your wedding day will be perfect because your father will be looking down at you and in your heart. He is now your guardian angel.

Be Blessed!

I am so sorry for your loss. I read your thread and was very teary eyed. Be thankful your family have you the opportunity on Thanksgiving. You will cherish that forever. I lot my dad when I was 21 to lung cancer, so I understand the importance of that dance. Like I said be greatful, because not everyone is that lucky to have had it. Take care of yourself and your mom.
