What is your thought?

I'm struggling with what to do with my hair for the wedding. I purchsed some hair pens, but I think they "might" look too formal for a beach wedding so I wanted a plan "B" just in case. Well my bouquet will be ivory roses and green cymbidium orchids. I got of these, for the fans.

I was thinking about just making hair pens using these flowers but didn't know if it would look good having two different green flowers. Then I was thinking about using one of the flowers from my bouquet but then I seen this picture.

 

 

And now I'm thinking it will be way too big for me. So now I'm stuck again and I can't figure out what to do.. Please offer some suggestions, do you think I should go with an ivory orchid, even if it's a different type? Opt out of a flower all together? What are your thoughts?

tammy I think that the green orchid would look beautiful in your hair, especially since you are blonde. I think the ivory one might me washed out. I really like the idea of wearing you hair down with the flower on the side! I think it is a very classy look!

do you mean pins? I am confused but if you want to do your hair with a flower why not like Christa's or do you want your hair down...I am the type of person who always puts their hair up it drives me crazy down, so if you can handle it being down I think it will look beautiful...

I am a minimalist and like things to match. It would bug me if I had two different orchids. I would go ahead and use one from your bouquet, I don't think it's too big and i like the idea that it would match. Plus, I like fresh flowers over silk any day!

I love the idea of a green orchid in your hair, but I think I would go with something smaller - I think something as big as the one in that pic would overpower your pretty face!

 

How much difference is there in the two shades of green? Sometimes if one thing is far enough away from the other most people don't even notice the difference in colour..

I think the question is will your hair be up or down? If your hair is up, than the big flower will be just fine. if your hair is down as shown in the picture, then I think the flower is too big. But, I'm a fan of keeping the flowers in your hair white... but that's just me.

Hmmm, So if i do a flower in my hair, do you think I should keep with the same type of flower (Cymbidium orchid) or do you think it would be ok for me to use a different type of orchid, but in white?

Tammy - I think you could do so many different things with your hair that would be beautiful. I remember from a previous thread that you were thinking of a half-up style with sexy/beachy curls. I think you can do whatever you want with a hair flower - it's more about placement. I like the flower you posted, but think it would be better placed back behind your ear, closer to the nape of your neck....know what I mean??

I agree. Nape of neck. And I like the orchid... but there are SO many flowers you can use!
