Anyone else just have a CD player at reception?

We are just thinking of renting a CD player that the resort offered us as there is only 24 people, for our reception. Did any one else do this? Was it even loud enough?

Did you think about taking your wedding reception/celebration to the disco?? That is what we are planning on doing! There will only be 26 of us so I didn't think it would be worth renting something for a private party. My TA suggested doing up a CD of some of my fav songs & giving it to the DJ at the disco - more than likely he would play a few for me since I'm the bride!!!
