I bought my dress last August .... and because it was the last one in the store, I brought it home!!! So, it's been sitting in my closet all these months and yes, I'll peak at it every now and then, but I haven't tried it on. sad.gif

I'm afraid to try it on and my wedding is coming up in a little over 4 months ... should I be bringing it to a seamstress soon? Or at least trying it on?

I know I need to get the length adjusted and I want to remove the liner from the train so it's just lace and the boob area needs to be taken in. Otherwise it fits perfectly (or at least, IT DID). blush2.gif

I'll admit, I'm petrified to try it on and find it doesn't fit AT ALL.

I am getting married right around you and I just made my appointment for alterations yesterday and will start them on Feb. 20th. so I would suggest just trying it on because I bet you it is still going to fit fine! But make your appointment so at least you're on your seamstress's schedule!

Good Luck

of course it can! just make sure to tell your seamstress your wedding date and then schedule your final fitting 2-3 weeks out so there's time to make those alterations if needed. i'm picking up my dress today and my wedding is in two weeks :)

Don't be afraid... get an appointment and get into your seamstress asap!!! I am sure that it will still look amazing on you.

As far as losing weight right before the wedding; that's what your final fitting is for. They can do minor alterations and nip in anything that may be too big if you lose any weight.

I'd bring that dress in soon!! I started alterations 3 months out. I had 4 appointments, and my dress hardly needed any altering - just taken in slightly at the top and the boneing fixed. It takes time for your dress to be altered. So I'd get in in very soon. And if you do loose the weight they can definitely bring it in for you.

Oh, and I think everyone is afraid to try on their dress for the first time!
