Hey everyone. I am looking for a DIY save the date idea. We are only inviting immediate family but I still wanted to do a save the date. I looked through the site and I saw ideas for boarding passes and passports. Does anyone have another idea? We are getting married on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. The only thing that part of Italy is known for is citrus fruit, specifically lemons. Also, if there is a boarding pass template that a number of you prefer, please send it my way. I really thought those were cute.

I did my own DIY STD and printed on vistaprint.

First, I created the card in Microsoft Publisher. I put a background image with white border, a pic of us and our info (we only included the date and place - the rest of the info was on our website).

Then, on vistaprint, I selected the postcard size "blank template" and uploaded my image. I will suggest that you get the dimensions before you create the image or you might have to adjust several times so it looks right.

I was pleased with the way they turned out...here is it:

Here are my DIY luggage tag save the dates. I used white and teal card stock. First, I cut the white card stock to a size that would fit in an envelope then stamped it with a boat stamp in navy ink (wish I used a different color I didn't like the navy and teal together). Next, I used teal card stock and cut out the shape of a luggage tag, then used a sea shell hole punch and punched out a shell and looped teal ribbon through it. I printed out my save the week message on white card stock and glued it to the face of the luggage tag (I wish that I had used colored ink). Then, I affixed the luggage tag part onto the white card stock with double sided foam to make it lifted off the paper, that way people know they can take it off and hang it somewhere to save it. Then I used the sea shell hole punch and punch out teal and navy shells and put them in the opposite corner of the ship stamp, you could do the same thing in different colors with citrus fruits for the hole punch and stamp.
