Hi Sjay,

I don't know if you already have this information...

Here's what one of the previous brides wrote about this, somewhere in this thread:

"The table measurements are as follows; the round Tables are 182CM in Diameter and the Height is 74cm.

The rectangular Tables are 243cm in length and 76cm in width and the height

is 74cm."

Hope this can help you

Our original plan was to move over to the Grand after the wedding but I had never been to Jamaica and really wanted to experience the cliffs.  To be honest, I wish that we had stayed at the resort one more day to spend a non-wedding day with our guests, our wedding was on Wednesday, we left on Thursday.  So with your wedding on Saturday you will have a couple days after to enjoy with your guests. I will say though, it was a great experience to get away and just enjoy time alone with my new hubby and to eat some local food.

Also, non-related question, did anyone put on their invitation anything about the resort fee if people do not stay at IRHS?   I have some people that are talking about going to Jamaica but staying elsewhere.  I have the resort fee info on our website, but I don't think they have seen it because the resort fee seems quite high and I think they would think otherwise about coming if they knew the cost.  Can I put it on the invitation or should I just hope that they see it on our website?

Thanks so much Papoue! I didn't have the information, and to be honest, I'm feeling a bit frustrated. The WC recently emailed me with only the height of the tables (?!) and she said the square (I suppose rectangular?) tables are 77cm high. I don't know which of all these various measurements is correct! I guess I'll just err on the side of the larger numbers. Thanks again for posting the info, I really appreciate it! :)

Hi everyone! We were married at the Suites on July 19th, 2012.  It was so wonderful!  I'll share a few details and the link to our highlight video.  I start back teaching this week, so don't have time to write a full review, but feel free to PM me any questions! All in all, it was perfect!  Nicole and Tiffany REALLY know what they're doing! I was also getting frustrated with late responses, but I just typed out everything I wanted, and they followed it to the letter, and it was better than I ever expected!

70 guests

Tuesday- Welcome party on the beach with 2 hours of bonfire and national bar and mento band (loved it!- They set everything up nicely and people commented that they felt like they were in a movie!)

Wednesday- Nicole ran a rehearsal, then we had dinner at Calabash- delicious!

Thursday- Wedding day: The groom and I went with our photographers to the Rose Hall Manor for one hour of photos. This was HOT, but we love the photos.

Ceremony was at 5:30 on the beach- weather was very nice

6-7: Cocktail hour with open bar and Steel Pans Band on the beach- soooo worth it! This may have been my favorite part of the day

7-11: Private Reception at Aunt Ruby's- this was also HOT, but I didn't want to be indoors when all the Chicagoans came for the ocean! People would just step outside to catch a breeze, and the paper fans we passed out at the ceremony also helped.

DJ Kevan was awesome- I sent him some song ideas ahead of time, and he played them all.  We paid him extra to play until 11, which Nicole allowed.  It was the perfect amount of time, actually. I was really worried that 11 was an early ending, but some of us went on to the disco, but most people ended up crashing.

Hair- Mervina at the salon was great!  All my bridesmaids had their hair done at the salon, and everyone was very happy!

Make-up- We brought a Chicago area MUA with us.  She did 12 girls, and the make-up stayed in the heat.  She is great and available for travel: http://www.deannaraeartistry.com/

Photo & Video- We brought down Chicago photographer and videographer Heather Stone and her assistant, Kai.  They were amazing and captured 3 days of dinners, pool time, and of course wedding day.  They are also available for travel: http://heatherstonephotography.com/

Flowers- We used Tai Floral.  I wanted simple flowers, so we had only a draping of crystals with orchids on the back of the provided huppa.  That was it in terms of ceremony decor.  We got engaged in Madrid, Spain, so I wanted to bring some "Spanish" element into the day, so the bridesmaids carried Spanish fans and Tai Floral tied on some small flowers to the fans.  I was also very happy with my bouquet!  For the reception, we brought our own lanterns, paper flowers made from our favorite books (we are both English teachers!) in vases with votives for the centerpieces, and bookmarks for seating assignments.   We did not get anything from Tai Floral for the reception.

Best of luck to all the other brides! You will LOVE it there, and you will have a dream wedding!

Hi there,

Do you have a photo of the crystals plus orchids hanging at the back of the huppa. I saw it in your video and loved it but I can't find a picture of anything like it anywhere. Do you know how long and wide it is? I am going to order some Real Touch flowers off ETSY and since Tai Flora wants $100 for the crystal + flowers I wanted to see how much it would cost me on ETSY instead. Any help you can provide me would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you.

Regards, Jaqui

I need to discuss with the WC price negotiations ....would a TA be able to help with that

Hey Justine,

I just meant that in the beginning when the WC was super hard to get ahold of she took care of a lot of things for me. In terms of price negotiations, what specifically do you mean? Like to negotiate the actual wedding cost of the travel cost? If anything to do with the wedding, It would be your WC and anything to do with the trip costs it would be the TA. I didn't know you could negotiate lol hmmmmmm.

I'm finding Nolitours a little ridiculous as well, We wanted to stay for an extra 3 nights as a 'honeymoon' and they quoted us $2438+380 tax. Our trip alone is only $1230 taxes in.

Not sure about negotiation either but I'm going to try ....especially how they charge you an extra $18 for the guests to watch your wedding. Seeing how we have more than 8 (which is riduclous...8!!) that'll add up. We only had to pay an extra $100 to extend the air for 3 days. We are going to Rockhouse for a mini moon and to experience the cliffs, Rick cafe and other local food.
