Yes I did have another photographer that we brought with us. Digipix still took some pictures after the ceremony to use on the DVD and cover. I thought they did a good job.

Here is what I received as a reply from Nicole at the Suites

With the Beach party is there food served? or what exactly goes on?  The Beach parties that we host on Saturday Nights just have open bar and live entertainment with the Star friends.

I believe they have a beach party sometime during the Day at some point in time during the week and I believe this one might include the Food, I have not inquired about this.

Hey atalanta,

Ohhh no I don't personally feel mislead as I'm trying to be as laissez-faire as possible.  I was just responding to the comment of another bride.

Not for any reason in particular, but for my own planning sense I've booked all the locations that I want to use well in advance.  So, hopefully things will materialize as planned.  If they don't....I guess it's plan B! LOL

So are these off site weddings expensive?   How much they cost? What's included? I'm curious.  Does anyone know?

I know a lot of BDW brides who are getting married off-site but have guests staying at IB resorts. What the wedding coordinators have told them is the brides getting married on property have first dibs on any and all locations for activities such as bonfires and rehearsal dinners.

This is not to say, that I don't understand your feeling mislead.

Ah thanks! Luckily I work with a lot of notaries so I won't have to spend extra to get notarized.

The tracking info says they received it yesterday though! cheesy.gif

They can be a little expensive but not outrageous. Through Tropical Weddings Jamaica you can literally include or not include aaaaaaanything in your package and she will adjust the price very fairly. You could have barely any decor and no reception just a little quaint ceremony on the PRIVATE beach for quite cheap or you could have a grand, extravegent ceremony and a wonderful plated dinner reception with a dj and the works for... a lot anywhere from $6-7000 and up. They have so many options for ceremony and receptions and will cater to whatever your wants, needs AND budget it. I was amazed at how much Almarie really cared about our budget and making what we want work into it. It really depends on how many guests you have too! If you have a huge group, you'd pay more for how much food will be needed etc. If you wanted I could send you some of my info on specific pricing for different aspects like flowers or food. My package includes so much and I think it's a great price. Some of the things you pay hundreds for at the resort are just included or free and much easier through TWJ.  It is well worth the money to have an entire private beach to yourself in my opinion!

This sounds amazing Lizk23!   I'd love to know more about these wedding/reception packages.  I'm almost thinking that if I were to do something like this I would just stay over there for the reception too!  Would you be able to PM me the pricing they sent you please?  Thanks so much!cheesy.gif

Leaving on Sunday and officially started to pack this morning. I normally pride myself on being a very light packer but this trip I seem to find myself frequently saying "What the hell. it's for my wedding trip" to items I would never consider bringing. And now my FI is suddenly concerned with having to pay for going over on luggage weight. I just assumed it was a given from the word go lol.

You literally made me chuckle out loud! wink.gif I can so relate. Though I have a while to go before I pack, I have been mentally organizing everything and we went to look for new luggage and here is my fiance in my ear... "Shannon, you don't need to over pack like normal... we are going to be wearing our bathing suits." But like you, I was like but it's our wedding!! Good Luck and remember to relax when you get there, you deserve to! Congrats you day is almost here.
