Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Just as a comfort to all who are having trouble getting answers from the WC, as my date has gotten closer Nicole has been very responsive...several times getting back to me within the hour. So I guess she has to prioritize based on how close the wedding is since she probably gets a lot of questions.

Can anyone help me with a couple questions I have about the IRHShuh.gif :)

1. Do you get a rehearsal dinner for your guests...is it free?

2. Do you suggest having your dinner and dancing at the same place? I was thinking of having dinner at Aunt Ruby's and a DJ for a couple hours. Then heading over to the Disco.

3. I have heard mixed reviews about the hotel photographer. Any suggestions for photographers that are reasonable??

Thanks!!!!

We're most likely doing an informal rehearsal dinner at one of the restaurants. We'll just make a reservation for the wedding party and their dates, and tell everyone else that if they want to join us they can make a reservation for the same time. Since they are alll staying at the resort, it won't cost anything. I'm not sure if we'll be able to have a designated area for us, but I'm planning to ask Nicole about that.

We're doing dinner and dancing at Aunt Ruby's. You can be there until 10:30, so if you'd rather have dancing for longer then you can always go to the club afterward. Or, you can also rent the disco from 8:30 to 10:30 and go right after dinner. After 10:30 it won't be private anymore.

The least expensive JA photographer I've found is Diana Campbell. She quoted us $850 but we decided to use a friend instead. I have a friend that used her for their wedding and they were very happy with the results. If you are willing to pay $1500 to $2500, there are lots of options that you can find mentioned on this board.

heyas, from what I gather if you want a 'private' rehearsal dinner you will have to rent the restaurant which would involve a fee as they would be closing it down to other guests. However if you are happy to share the restaurant with other groups you or one of your party can just make a reservation down at the guest services desk.

This is what we plan to do as it doesn't really matter to us if we share or not as we aren't a huge group and are happy spending time together reguardless of circumstance.

As for the dinner and dancing in one place... I think it would depend on the size of your group really. As we're small we're just planning on going to the disco later in the evening. If I had a larger group I would probably consider hiring the DJ option. From what I have heard it can be alot of fun. :-)

I'm currently looking for a photographer as well so I'm absolutely no help there. :-P sorry.

Hi matzah1. I'm new to this forum and I found the links provided by Sparkles8300 (5/8/09) and GregsBride (4/17/09) under this thread to be very helpful in finding pics for IRHS. Especially this link IBEROSTAR HOTELS & RESORTS MESSAGE BOARD | IBEROSTAR REVIEWS & PHOTOS - Index which is to a site completely dedicated to Iberostar. Click on WEDDINGS, HONEYMOONS & ANNIVERSARIES AT IBEROSTAR.
