Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

I emailed the beach resort yesterday, and got a response the same day! If anyone's interested, for the reception at Uncle Tony's for groups greater than 40 (which will be mine) they require a selected menu, which is what I can include in my RSVP since I am working on invitations today! The meal choices are beef tenderloin, chicken supreme and salmon medallions. Silvia also sent me some pics of the restuarant, it's a pdf file, I don't know how to cut and paste it here....let me see what i can do...

Marlena ,

Just as another option to Tai Flora and Godfrey (who also receives good reviews)...

I also am using Jan's Flowers.  I got 2 bouquets, 4 boutonnieres, 7 centerpieces, 3 corsages, and 2 bags for fresh rose petals for $800 (incl. tax and delivery) - using lillies, roses and orchids in my wedding colors.

I wanted nice centerpieces (it was important to me) and they gave me the best price so far.

I feel your pain Tai Flora takes there sweet time and several of us on here fed up with the lack of response and cost have decided to go with other florist. I know myself and a couple other brides are going with Godfrey Guy...he doesn't have a website but other brides have raved about him. He wrote me RIGHT back when I emailed him and has been a doll ever since. He's even trying to help me find a cigar roller.  His email is Godfreyguy1@yahoo.   If you would like to know what he quoted me, please send me a message.

I have taken my gown to three different alteration locations and they are all afraid to alter the neckline for me.  *Sigh*

I have one more appointment with a lady who was highly recommended in my area on another forum.  Keep your fingers crossed for me ladies.  Less than 60 days to go...

ashaun,

That's a pretty great quote for flowers! I've had some emails with Floral Fantasies and they also seem very eager to work with me on arrangements and stay  within my budget. I just don't understand why Tai Flora never responds ? You would think that running a business that you would want to do all the weddings you can!

That's absurd! It's not like you want them to chop the whole dress to bits! How much of a change are you making? Maybe if you find a good independant seamstress and pay her well you'll have better luck?

I emailed Nicole to ask her the size of the square tables used at Aunt Ruby's, as well as what they could do for seating when we do our dance/ bonfire on the beach. Here are her responses:

Tables for 4 pax: 90 cm x 90 cm (35.4 x 35.4 inches) Tables for 2 pax 70 cm x 90 cm (27.5 in x 35.4 in) Both are 77 cm height ( 30 inch) The tablecloths we use in the restaurants are 170 cm x 170 cm (67 x 67 inches), and they reach to the middle of the table, not to the floor. About the beach, we usually set a few cocktail tables and some chairs around, no extra cost.

Exactly!  The neckline is straight across and I want to make it into a sweetheart, and I need about a 1/2 inch taken in on both sides.  The neckline part is what is scaring the bejesus out of everyone.  There isn't any beading or embelishment on the frickin dress.
