Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

Bruuing,

We are having our wedding off-site and had planned to do sky lanterns. Then recently our WC informed us that their permit for releasing them was revoked due to high winds. It seems as this should be the same for IRH because it's all Rose Hall. I think you should wait to hear back from your WC or brides around the time you are planning your wedding as it seems wedding dependent.

The sky lanterns have gel fuel, do you know if you can fly with that in your luggage?

Hi ladies!

One of the IBRHB brides checked with the coordinator (twice) and confirmed we can release them. Also, other brides have released them at their respective resorts so am assuming they travelled with them without a problem.

Hope that helps!

I intend to release them at my wedding :) Can't wait! It's going to be so pretty!

Also - there is a separate thread on sky lanterns which includes a lot of info on where to get them, etc....

I would assume the sky lanterns are allowed as long as the wind isn't up.  Keep in mind that there is often quite a bit of wind coming off the ocean.  I would say take them but don't be disappointed if they don't allow you to use them the day of.

Thanks everyone!  That is so good to know. I am actually trying to go in with someone else on buying a case so that the cost will be cheaper, (from the Sky Lanterns!) thread.  We are getting white ones.  So, I know this isn't the thread for that...but if anyone wants in on the case of them, it will be cheaper if we buy in bulk and then ship to each other! :)
