hello iberostar rosehall brides!

 

many of you have inquired about seatings and plates at each of the specialty restaurants so i thought i'd pose the question to the beach WC...here's the 'skinny' for iberostar rose hall beach restaurants.

 

The color of the plates: white and yellow with blue are in the Steakhouse and Cajun have white and blue. The Japanese restaurant is not  recommended for a reception because of the type of the tables (teppanyaki) but it is perfect for a rehearsal dinner. I do have pictures of the Steakhouse but I cannot provide you with the Cajun ones yet. 

 

JAPANESE RESTAURANT “SAMURAI† 

Air-conditioned. Long pants are mandatory. Non-smoking.

As appetizers you can choose from a variety of sashimi, sushi, maki (stuffed rice rolls) and vegetables tempura.

As main course you can choose from seafood, chicken and beef prepared on the griddle at your sight at the Teppanyaki, served with rice and vegetables.

The Teppanyaki is a big cooking table that seats up to 18 people, where you can watch the Chef prepare your meal.

(Seating 6:30, 7:00, 8:30 & 9:00 pm)

 

 

CAJUN RESTAURANT “JAMBALAYA† 

Air-conditioned. Long pants are mandatory. Non-smoking.

As appetizers you will have a choice of salads and warm appetizers including tropical shrimp dishes, squid, gumbo, soups and special vegetarian sauté selections.

As main course there are Jambalayas, fettuccine, grilled seafood, roasted poultry, and special cuts of beef all served in wonderful array of Cajun spices. A Buffet will cater an assortment of tasty desert.

(Seating 6:30, 7:00, 8:30 & 9:00 pm)

 

STEAKHOUSE RESTAURANT “UNCLE TONY’Sâ€

No air-conditioning. No long pants required.

As appetizers you will find a delicatessen buffet with a variety of smoked meat or fish, cocktails and salads.

As main course you can order from the menu different cuts of meat: Top Sirloin, Rib-eye, Tenderloin, Beef Plate, Beef Ribs, Pork Chops, Fish of the day and chicken, all served with baked potato covered in sour cream.

Thanks for the encouragement. I really don't care about the amount of people that attend, but just be courteous. I have definitely decided to focus on other things that I can control!

I went through the same thing but my list was small enough that I planned based on word of mouth.  That's one good thing about a smaller invite list.  My hubby is still holding it against some family and friends who failed to respond.  At the end of the day, its not about your being there, but at least have some tact and respond or acknowledge what is going on.

 

I did my RSVP date 2 months out.  Some people may not know if they are coming for sure but they could give you an idea.  Stay encouraged and don't overwhelm yourself with projects/details that pertain to individual guest.  Maybe redirect your attention to decorations, vendors, etc.

I ordered a dress from lightinthebox.com in the fall. It is very well made, but the sizing was off. I normally wear a 10, and I ordered it in a 12 thinking it most definately would fit me, and I couldnt get the zipper up to accomodate a 36 C! I was hesitant to order another dress without special ordering the size for specific measurements. It came very quick though...i thought about this for bridesmaids, but ended up at Davids bridal instead

Those reviews can be made up...I wouldn't put it past anyone...Shortly after I was on the sight someone kept emailing me questions and after I replyed and told them I didn't order anything my email address was spoofed...I don't know if it was just a random personthat could hack in and see people on the site or if it was someone from that so called company.

OK Past brides...I just got the infamous call from the family in laws...wanting to know why they have to pay extras...like day pass if they stay at the beaches...so with that being said

 

1. how did guest get from airport to hotel....how much does that cost

2. if staying at the suites..where my wedding will be...ARE THERE ANY OTHER FEES A GUEST WOULD HAVE

There are a few places that you can go through to get transfers (I was looking at them for my trip to Jamaica in May for a friends DW at Secrets and we were going to stay at the Iberostar and needed roundtrip transfer from SWO to Iberostar).  Juta Tours is one, Reggae Tours and Clive's are others I have heard of (see http://clivestransportservicejamaica.com/airporttransfers_1.htm for sample pricing).  There are some other reviews on on tripadvisor of other places that do them.  Our guests are being highly encouraged to go through our local travel agents who work through Apple Vacations so transfers are included with the price of the vacation.  It's nice that people won't have to worry about added costs and such.

 

I can't think of any costs besides day passes and transfers.  I'm assuming when you said they were staying at the beaches you didn't mean the IRHB and meant the actual beaches chain.  For my friends DW we stayed at Sunset Beach resort and went to Secrets Wild Orchid where the wedding was.  We just had to pay for the day pass because we were able to walk to the resort.  Be aware though, Secrets had a few types of day passes that only went to certain times.  It ended up costing us 130 bucks to stay from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.  We thought it was 100 bucks for unlimited time but were surprised when we got to the front desk.  The reason they make the prices so high is because it is an all-inclusive and expect people to drink all the booze and eat all the food they have there. 

 

 I know about the annoying  in-laws feeling.  They handed me a list of around 20 couples besides family they wanted to be invited to the AHR and then proceeded to put up a fuss about how I didn't want to invite the whole list.  AND they aren't paying for a cent of the wedding.  It's really quite annoying to hear their whining every second.  Sorry, just had to vent

Are you referring to the Iberostar Beach resort or the Beaches chain?

 

Either way....this is the reason I did NOT open other options up to stay elsewhere.  If they chose to do so, it was on them and so was the day pass.  The Suites were the "host hotel."  I did inform my TA that she could offer the Beach hotel to several of our folks based on the fact that they had children and would likely need to save some $.  I specified who these people were up front.  My dad was the only person who ended up staying @ the Beach because he waited til the last minute to book.  The TA told him about the day passes and of course he paid for it himself.  By the way, he kept his visitor bracelet on for more than the wedding day and had no issue hanging with us on the beach and pool.

 

I say offer them the Suites, if they choose elsewhere then they pay the pass.  If its not going to work, then they see pics when you return!  LOL!

 

Oh and there are no additional fees unless you do excursions or spa visits!

I am a future bride but I know depending on how you book your stay, your round trip transfers are included in the price. There should be a desk for your resort at the airport that will manage your transportation. There will be no other fees if your quest stay where your wedding will be. No fees for your guest at least.

 

This is something you may want to discuss with your TA to make sure you and your guest do not have any surprises when you get there.

You can also let the in-laws know that the reason they have to pay for the day pass is because during the time they are at the resort for the wedding they have full access to the amenities.
