So, any other suggestions? I guess I could buy another dress but won't it look like a completely different dress in the pictures? What do you ladies think? What are you planning?
I plan on doing TTD pictures, but I am using another dress. It's nothing like my actual wedding gown, and I was lucky enough to buy it from another BDW member for $50!! I don't mind that it doesn't look my my dress though, and I actually think the style of it will be more appropriate for the TTD pics.

Hi Ladies... Re: huppa... It's already located on the beach & doesn't cost extra. The arch is usually used for other wedding locations (i.e. lazy river island). Nicole said the huppa cannot be used elsewhere because it needs to be secured into the ground. There's not enough grass space on the lazy river island for the huppa to stand securely.

We survived our wedding at the Suites last Friday and I just wanted to jump on here (during my honeymoonblush2.gif) and say everything was perfect and I can't think of a better place to have a wedding. You are all in good hands with Nicole. I will post a complete review with photos next week when we are back from our honeymoon. Please feel free to shoot me your questions.

As a side note, the night of the wedding my husband and I were moved over to the Grand for our honeymoon. It is the most romantic place we have ever stayed and if you don't have plans for your honeymoon yet, CONSIDER IT! It is over the top luxury and very, very quite. We feel like we are the only ones here. And when we want to party, we just go over to the Suites.

I saw a post asking about upgrading your cake, and that is something you can do with Nicole when you start to plan. We upgraded ours to a three tier because we had 40 people and it didn't cost us anything. You basically pay for it when you pay for the additional guests in your package.

Also, you can get custom centerpieces when you do your planning with Tai Flora but it will be extra. I worked with Natalie at TF and she was awesome and had some good ideas. She has a 1-800 number and is really quick getting back to you. I ended up using hurricanes with petals and floating candles for aisle runner decorations and then they were moved from the ceremony to the reception tables. That was how we kept our flower budget reasonable. I will post pics soon. Got to go to dinner...

CONGRATS!!! and im so excited to read your review and see pics!!!! Hope you are having GREAT time!!!

We are staying at the IRHS for 7 days with most of the family and we'll take a mini honeymoon somewhere in Negril. FI is keeping me in the dark for now...he wants to show me the place when we go to visit next month.

By the way, I will be visiting IRHS on September 18th, if anyone want me to take a picture of something/place specific, ask questions, find something, let me know and i'll be happy to find out whatever you want.

I am having a very hard time deciding on what time to hold my ceremony. My wedding is at the Grand in Jamaica and it is during the first week (DEC 4th). My WC at the Grand is Spanish and honeslty she has never been in Jamaica during this season before. Do any of you Iberostar brides know what time you are going to hold your ceremony? She suggested 5PM but I am nervous that the sun sets early in DEC and we may not get many pics in the daylight. On the flipside the pool activities are still going on until 5PM so if we do it eariler there will be lots of people at the pool (right in front of where we are getting married). Do any of you know anything about weather patterns or sunsets in Jamaica. I have searched all over the internet and have not found anything useful.

We are heading to Moon Dance Villas in Negril. It was actually my first choice for where to have the wedding, but we had too many people (57). We will be in a 1 bedroom villa with it's own private chef, bartender, maid, etc... We will get to live like the rich & famous for 5 nights! My Great Aunt left a bunch of $$ to my mom when she passed last year and my mom gave the money to pay for the honeymoon :) If it was not for that $$ we were looking at doing Couples in Negril since it's not as pricy but would be a change of scenery. I can't wait!!!
