I did this when I went to visit, it was great it included our trip to Dunn's River Falls.  Try googling Cool Runnings Catamaran Ocho Rios Jamaica.

I am new to this site and would really appreciate some assistance! My fiance and I have been struggling to settle on a destination and property for our May 2011 wedding and we are now getting down to the wire. We have been debating between Jamaica and Riviera Maya/Secrets Resorts and Iberostar. I think we are leaning towards Jamaica and Iberostar but I cannot find much information on wedding package and add-on pricing. If anyone has information that would be helpful please email me [email protected].

Thank you so much!

here is a pic, we took pink fabric that was to be put over the huppa and strings of orchids, the orchids were in knots due to the wind so Nicole took them down and the fabric was attached to the front (again due to the wind).  The only "add ons" we did was the steel drum band and flowers for my parents.   I'm also sneaking a pic of Jenn's wedding, we watched it from Aunt Ruby's steakhouse which is right behind the huppa.

Congrats wendy! Looking forward to your review - wonderful picture! Did you bring your own fabric? What kind of material/size was it - nice touch!

I took 8 yards, I found the dimensions of the huppa somewhere in this thread.  The plan was for it to be draped over the sides and top but the wind prevented it and Nicole wrapped it around that way instead.  The fabric was a sheer organza type fabric.

Congrats Wendy!! I've seen the Huppa decor now so don't worry about putting it in your planning thread. LOL! It looks really beautiful. Could your guests hear you guys ok over the wind?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
