Advice on Medical Problem

Hi All,

I haven't really been on in a while. I was admitted to the hospital a few weeks ago for what we thought was an ovarian cyst (which I get regularly)... but ended up being Diverticulitis.

Evidently, this is something that people get when they are much, much older.

Does anyone have this or know anyone that does? It requires a super-strict diet now (which I guess is great to lose weight); but I am constantly still tired and honestly, hate eating now.

It's very frustrating, because I never have eaten that badly or ever been overweight by medical standards (which are pre-cursors when this happens in younger people).

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this. I have been doing tons of research on the internet.

Thanks in advance!

It’s a digestive disease that typically forms in the large intestine...Pressure on weak areas of the colon cause the formation of pockets/pouches in the digestive tract. When these pockets become inflamed or infected that is known as Diverticulitis. From what I've heard it is found to occur in people with a low or lack of adequate fiber in their diet, over the age of 40 and lack of exercise.

I'm under 40 and had a flair up of gout...This was after I completed a body cleanse to get ready for vacation and look good. All went well but when I came it hit me...They say it was because I cleansed and then ate like a pig.

Disclaimer: I do no claim to be a medical doctor but my mother and mother-in-law both have it. They are fine and only seem to flair-ups when they eat nuts or certains foods with seeds (i.e. strawberries & raspberries). I hope I did not alarm or offend anyone. Noy trying to give medical advice but just what I understand the condition to be in general terms. For accurate and specific information anyone please contact and consult your doctor. Many blessings to you and your family...Always congrats on your wedding plans Sunsetbride1

if I have over stepped my boundaries I do apologize
