Petals down the isle ???

Tai Flora quoted me $500.00 also for heavy coverage for the isle. I decided to use Silk Rose Petals & Freeze Dried Rose Petals - Petal Garden. I requested a free sample and they are nice. Now I'm deciding between freeze dried or silk.

Flower petals down the aisle sound beautiful. We're going to have them as well... I'm sure the wind won't be a problem.

We used silks from Petal Garden. I paid $68 including shipping for a mega pack. I calculated that it would be heavy coverage. However with the wind factor, it was more of a light coverage, but still looked amazing! They had to be put down MOMENTS before the ceremony because of the wind. Looking back, since they were so cheap I should have ordered double the petals. But it still looked pretty.

I just talked to 2g roses (freshroses.com). I confirmed that if I had them delivered to a friend prior to her leaving to come to JA. THey ssaid it would be fine... leave them in the box they are shipped in with a cold pack and you are good. THey are so much cheaper!

i love the idea of the petals on the isle. maybe in the days before your wedding assess the wind for yourself with the petals in mind, and you don't think it will work, prepare an alternative.

I didn't get married in Jamaica.. but I had petals on the beach for my wedding instead of a runner and they didn't blow away at all! I think they just stick better when it's directly into the sand instead of on a smooth surface. You would probably be okay

I am glad I read this because I was thinking about doing petals too.  Maybe I will just leave the isle empty.

I love this idea and didn't even consider that they may blow away on the beach.... I will definitely be looking into buying fake petals in bulk.

@@LauraM - do you know if BP allows fake petals? I thought I had read somewhere that they have to be real / freeze dried
