After getting out of a horrible 14+ year marriage (drugs and alcohol), a good friend introduced me to her brother-in-law. It wasn't planned. Keith just showed up when he knew that I was going to be out with my friend and his brother. He was really sweet and a complete gentleman. We talked all night and he asked if he could call me. We kept things light for the first month or so...a cross between just friends and more than just friends. Our first kiss was at least a month after we met and started "hanging out" even though we would hold hands and hug. I found out later that he didn't want to rush me because he knew that I'd been through a lot. I have sole custody of my 2 kids, both teenagers, and he's been wonderful to them. They love him. He'd never been married and has no children. We'd been dating for over a year in August and were whispering about how much we love one another when he, out of the blue, asked me to marry him. I was so shocked that my first words were "seriously?" then I immediately smiled, nodded my head and said yes. He's so good to me...treats me like a princess. He does the dishes every night and helps me in any way that he can. I'm so lucky and a few years ago I would have never imagined to have this in my life.
