RIU Hotels or Club Med???

Hi Girls-

 

I'm Debbie and my Fiance and I are looking at a June '09 Wedding in Mexico. I'm having trouble deciding if it should be at a RIU hotel, which is gorgeous, maybe a bit dull at night for guests? Or at a Club Med, where we can have activities for guests all the time. Anyone have any suggestions? We'll have 40 people and 4 children 4yr+.

Hi Welcome! I am getting married at a RIU Palace Riviera Maya. We decided that if the nightlife at the hotel gets boring we will just go to downtown Playa del Carmen-it's not far at all. Hope your planning goes well!!!!

My suggestion is to do what YOU want. Your not going to make everybody happy and if you try you will just get more upset when people are complaining.

Most large groups will entertain themselves anyway. Hotel disco's are usually not the best and Playa has so much to offer for night life.

Make your desicion and let it go... hopefully everybody will love whatever you decide.

I would suggest you go with what you want. The RIUS are nice however, not sure about Club med and kid friendliness though.
