Congrats and welcome to the forum. I am also getting married in Punta Cana but I have never even been there before so this should be an adventure! As far as reception ideas, if you want to have an offsite reception, a lot of Punta Cana brides go to jellyfish (they have free transportation to/from resorts) or do the boat reception thing. i think it's called a borcaza or something to that effect. But there is a lot of info in the Dominican Republic threads about it.
