Shipping to Cabo

There are other threads on this, and from what I've heard, shipping is unreliable at best. You shouldn't send anything you couldn't afford to lose. Basically, you would be better off to bring extra luggage and pay for the overages and beg your guests/parents to bring stuff with them. But, you'd be surprised how creative you can get with packing if you have to. If you go for a site visit, see if you can leave stuff with the WC then, and if not, pack less clothes! lol

Michelle,

I would suggest packing whatever you need to bring down. I have yet to hear of anyone successfully shipping to Cabo.

But if you do want to ship something, here's the thread with the exact DHL instructions (you can't use Fed Ex or UPS, only DHL!)

Scroll down, Rebecca posted the instructions.

I'm a little concerned about bringing it all down too, but I guess I'll jus have to convince everyone to pack light and bring an extra bag!

I will send everything 'cause I have like 6 heavy and big boxes full of stuff, there's no way I can carry that on the plane.. I'll tell you which company I decide to use but keep in mind I live in Mexico..

Oh and FYI we also have UPS here.. I may go with that if it's not too expensive..

I don't know exactly. I was thinking of doing that and shipping to my WC but the girls on here said that it's really expensive and you should only use DHL because sometimes it's risky getting there, etc...I am not sure where that thread is...

I am still undecided though.

We also brought alot of items with us during our site visit and will do so again in October. Friends/family also volunteered to bring extra bags of stuff since many are only going for a long weekend. Depending on DHL rates, it may be cheaper to pay the extra bag charges through your airline..at least you know they'll be there. (unless you have a short layover somewhere)
