Asking Bridal Party Next Weekend

So we are having our friends over next weekend for a dinner to ask them to be in our wedding. I have cute cards for my bridesmaids some more masculine ones for the groomsmen. Should we give them small gifts at this time? I don't know if its appropriate or not.

I never even formally asked my BM's i just started talking about the wedding with them and then was like oh yea will you be my BM(it is my sister, my cousin and my best friend) so they all knew that they would be in my wedding
