ROR Mammee Bay Steak House wedding dinner

Recommended Posts

Any ROR brides past or future that can comment on they experience with having their wedding dinner at the Mammee Bay steak house? I made the arrangements without much info on the place and I am stressing a little. I guess I would like to know if anyone used the location for speaches and first dance as well as their dinner location. Was the food good?

I had my wedding dinner @ Mammee Bay Steakhouse. I enjoyed the meal!! There were only 6 of us for dinner but our server (Andre) was very good to us! It is considered semi-private and our tables were set up in the back with an oceanview.

They do serve the bride & groom their salads etc. and main course but your guests will have to get their own salads etc. as it is set up buffet style. All entrees are served to you.

We didn't do our first dance here as there isn't really enough room to do so and no audio equipment. You could do your first dance after your ceremony (as they already have the speakers etc.) or if you have booked the disco for your reception you can do it there. We had our first dance after our ceremony where we also did our speeches. You can definetly do speeches at Mammee Bay before or after dinner.

HTH!

We had our dinner at Mammee Bay. There were 27 of us and we took up a whole section of the restaurant; we didn't noticed anybody else near us. We were very well taken care of. We did speeches there; the MOH & BM just stood up from where they were sitting and did their thing. No first dance there; there really isn't room for that there. We had our first dance on the beach just after the wedding ceremony (we had the steel drum band; it was perfect!). We also rented out Pacha Disco and went there right after dinner and had another 'first dance' there!

Our reception dinner at Mammee Bay was excellent! Our entire group loved the food & the service. Although its "semi-private" it felt as if it was totally private and the other guests there did not interfere with us at all. As everyone has mentioned there isn't really any space for dancing but you could do speeches there if you wanted to.

You should book Mammee Bay as soon as possible. Since there are several weddings a day it gets booked pretty quickly. Send Chandlyn an email & ask her if its available for the day & time that you want & she'll let you know.

I'm not sure if they "automatically" book you for anything. I think that everything that you want should be pre-arranged with Chandlyn. Since there are up to 4 weddings a day, you can imagine how in demand their restaurants are. So getting your request to Chandlyn in advance would be the only way to guarantee getting what you want.
