Hi Ladies,

I am trying to negotiate my contract with the Sheraton and had a question. In the cancellation section of your booking contract for a block of rooms, does the cancellation costs also apply to food and beverage (f&B).

 

We have not even set a food and beverage menu, but the hotel wants us to pay anticipated costs on those amounts if we cancel.

 

Here is the language from the contract:

Cancellation from signing the contract to March 5, 2009 the group shall pay 50% of the contracted room block and the estimated food and beverage revenues plus tax.

 

Any thoughts and/or suggestions are welcome--
