So I was snooping on the site and was able to find a tidbit of info on the new packages... They are called Simple Stunning Wedding Packages by Karen Bussen.  No other information, but by looking at the one picture and her website, I'm super excited!  Especially since her site is a lot of light pink and that's one of my colors!!!  Will keep updating!

Ok ladies, I am trying to scan and send both mine and my fiance's birth certificates to the wedding coordinator (Natalie) so that she can apply for our marriage license.  I scanned our original birth certificates, which are signed and certified by the State Registrar of Vital Records.

 

Natalie is telling me that the "copies" of the birth certificates need to be notarized.  But I thought that was what the signature and seal of the State Registrar of Vital Records was for.  How else am I supposed to get "scanned copies" notarized??

 

Has anyone else run into this issue?  If so, what did you send to satisfy the requirements?

I'm wondering if it's due to the scanned copies not showing the raised seal????  Do you have easy access to a notary?  Perhaps make a copy of the original, have a notary sign it and scan that copy to her????

 

Please let us know what ends up working for you?

 

I assumed they would accept a fax/email with us bringing the original....

I'm thinking though that even if I make a copy, get it notarized again, scan and email it to her, it will look exactly the same as it does now.  It doesn't matter what I scan, she will never be able to see the raised seal, right?

 

I'm waiting on a response from her.  I'll let you know what ends up happening.

BTW, I just priced out the cost difference on mailing the documents down.  The cheapest is US postal.  They came in under $30, Fedex and UPS were over $50.

New to BDW.  I am almost decided on GPJ/LH.  I have read a lot of the posts on here, just wondering if anyone who as been can help me out.  I went to the GP in the Mayan in 2005 and our biggest complaint was the depth of the pool.  It was a consistent depth of about 5 feet or so. We will have kids travelling with us this time around, and I am wondering if in the main pool there has a shallower part?  Also, does anyone have any info/reviews on the kids club and kids activities?  My step-son who will be 5 and my niece who will be 2 when we travel will be with us.  Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!
