It could have been worse! My little sister's dog ate her bridal shoes the day before her wedding, and my sister-in-laws DRESS and veil got eaten by her dog--thankfully, the day after the wedding... but still! My little sister's dog also ate about $500 in cash after a bridal shower--bad dog!! These are the times when I'm glad I have a cat. :) I feel for you though; I'm glad that everything seems fixable!!
