Is 4.5 inches big enough for a cake topper?

Recommended Posts

We'll probably get a simple 2 tiered cake for 20-30 people.

We also plan on getting desert with dinner.

I found a cheap one here Buy Wedding Mirrored Initial Cake Topper - Wedding Mirrored Initial Cake Topper Prices - Discount Wedding Mirrored Initial Cake Topper)

that I plan on blinging out myself.

I think 4.5 inches is fine. Mine was 5 inches. When I was trying to figure out what size to get, I found that most websites said that the size of the topper should be based on the size of the top tier of your cake. So I asked my WC about the top tier & she said it was about 6 inches. Based on that, I went with 5 so I'm sure you're good going with 4.5! I also blinged it out & was happy with the results.

Am I the only one who read this post and thought, "It's not the size of the cake topper but what you do with it that matters" or "It's not the size of the cake topper but where you get to stick it?"

I like that topper, and I think it would be just lovely. But apparently that's coming from a perv. ;-)

I got my topper a couple of weeks ago, just finally got around to "blinging it".

I'm pretty happy for it considering the price. I picked up some stick on rhinestones from JoAnn's Fabric. I love the looks of the professional made ones with crystals, but you gotta cut back where you can.

It's not perfect, but I doubt anyone will really notice!
